Laurelvale Shawl by Brenda Brayfield

Laurelvale is the 4th in a collection of “shoulder-hugging” shawls designed by Brenda Brayfield. It’s a shallow, crescent-shaped shawl featuring bands of eyelets separated by relaxed garter stitch. The shawl is worked from the top down, starting from the neck edge with a garter tab cast on. As you work your way down, increases are made on both sides.

The shawl features a longer wingspan, while maintaining a relatively shallow body. The gorgeous filigree cable edging is knitted-on sideways to the body.

You can choose a variegated yarn for the body and a semi-solid for the edging, or use the same colour for the body and the edging.
