Introduction to Cowl Knitting

Learn to make a simple cowl. Choose your pattern – the Ashbee Cowl or the Textured Cowl.

Ashbee Cowl

Knit in the round from one skein of Malabrigo Rios, this is the perfect winter knitting project. An elongated drop stitch bracketed between purl rounds creates a stunning visual texture in this piece.

Textured Cowl

A cowl knit in the round is an excellent choice for the newer knitter. The number of stitches won’t intimidate you and the amount of rows won’t overwhelm you. As you knit, you will always be looking at the right side of the work. There is no increasing or decreasing required and when you’re finished there are only two tails to weave in. This is the perfect project to reinforce your knitting skills.
